Privacy Policy

This policy is issued by Yadagiri & Co, a proprietary firm of Chartered Accountants at Ramanthapur, Hyderabad, registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India under Firm Registration No. 031850S.

It covers this website, yadagiri.co.in, and the enquiry form on it. It does not cover the professional engagement itself. Once you become a client, the information you give the firm is governed by the engagement letter and by the duty of confidentiality that the Chartered Accountants Act places on every member of the Institute — a duty that is stricter, and older, than anything a website policy can offer.

Four things, and nothing else.

• What you type into the enquiry form — your name, email address, an optional phone number, the subject you choose, and your message. Nothing else is captured from that page.
• Ordinary web-server records kept by the hosting provider — the IP address the request came from, the browser and device type, the page requested and the time. Every web server keeps these; they exist for security and diagnostics.
• Aggregate usage statistics, where website analytics is switched on. It is configured so that IP addresses are shortened before being recorded, and it is used only to see which pages are read and on what kind of device.
• A record, kept in your own browser, that you have dismissed the cookie notice. It stays on your device and is never sent to the firm.

This website sets no cookies of its own for tracking. Two things on the site involve cookies, and both are worth naming plainly.

• The enquiry form uses a short-lived session cookie for one purpose only — to stop the same browser submitting the form again within a few seconds. It carries no information about you and expires when you close the browser.
• The Contact page has a Google map embedded in it. It loads whenever that page is opened, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies, exactly as if you had opened Google Maps yourself. That part is governed by Google’s privacy policy, not this one. If you would rather not load it, the address and the coordinates are printed on the page in text.
• Where analytics is switched on, it sets its own cookies. The notice at the foot of the site tells you so on your first visit.

• Your information is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers. There is nothing to sell — the firm has no list.
• There are no advertising pixels, retargeting tags or social-media trackers anywhere on this site.
• The typefaces are served from this site’s own server, so opening a page does not announce your visit to a font provider.
• Writing in with a question does not put you on a mailing list. There is no newsletter, and no marketing email is sent to anyone who has not asked for it.
• No attempt is made to build a profile of you or to make automated decisions about you.

• An enquiry that does not become an engagement is kept in the mailbox for as long as it takes to answer it and a reasonable period afterwards, and is then deleted.
• If the enquiry becomes an engagement, the records move into the client file and are kept for the period required by the Institute’s standards on quality control and by tax, company and other applicable law — ordinarily not less than seven years, and longer where a matter remains open before an assessing authority, an appellate forum or a court.
• Server logs and analytics records are kept for the retention period set by the hosting provider and the analytics service respectively.

India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, notified in November 2025, give you rights over personal data about you. The substantive obligations under those rules come into force in May 2027. This firm is not waiting for that date; the practices described in this policy already reflect them.

You may ask the firm for a summary of the personal data it holds about you and what has been done with it; ask for it to be corrected, completed or updated; ask for it to be erased where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was given for or for a legal requirement; withdraw a consent you have given; and nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.

Requests go to ca@yadagiri.co.in and are answered within a reasonable time. Some data cannot be erased on request — records the firm is required by law to retain, or that relate to a proceeding that is still running, are an example, and you will be told plainly when that is the reason.

• The whole site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the enquiry form is encrypted in transit between your browser and the server.
• Nothing you send through the form is stored on the web server, which removes the most common thing that gets breached on a small website.
• Access to the firm’s mailbox and to client records is restricted to the proprietor.
• No system is perfectly secure, and this policy does not claim otherwise. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, you will be informed, and the Data Protection Board will be informed where the law requires it.

This website is meant for adults dealing with tax, accounting and business-compliance matters. It is not directed at children, and no information is knowingly collected from anyone under eighteen. If you believe a child has sent information through this site, write to ca@yadagiri.co.in and it will be deleted.

Pages on this site link to the Income Tax and GST portals, to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, to Google Maps and to WhatsApp. Once you follow one of those links you are on somebody else’s website, under their terms and their privacy policy. This firm has no control over how they handle your information.

If the way this site handles information changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top is moved. There is no notification list to be added to; the date is the record.
